Trust & Security — AmericaIsOnline.net
Trust & Security

Nothing goes live until a listing proves two things.

Every vendor and implementation partner on AmericaIsOnline.net clears the same gate before they're published — no exceptions, no early access, no "trusted partner" badge that just means they paid for one.

The Vetting Gate

Two required fields. A listing doesn't go live without both.

This is the whole gate — deliberately short, and deliberately non-negotiable. If either field is missing, the listing stays unpublished, regardless of how long a vendor has been waiting.

01

Data Handling & Security Summary

A plain description of how the vendor handles customer and business data — what's collected, where it's stored, and any relevant certifications. This is the field small-business owners ask about most and get the least straight answer to anywhere else.

Required to publish
02

SME Experience Evidence

At least one concrete example of the vendor or partner working with a business the size of the ones browsing this directory — not enterprise case studies that don't reflect what a 12-person shop should expect.

Required to publish
Note

Both fields are checked by our team before a listing is published — this isn't a self-certified checkbox. A listing with a thin or generic answer in either field gets sent back before it goes live.

What A Listing Actually Shows You

Every field below is on every listing — vetted or not, so you can always tell which.

This is what you'll see on a listing page. Nothing here is hidden behind a "contact us to learn more."

How A Listing Earns Its Badge

The path from submission to "Verified."

01

Vendor or partner submits a listing

Basic details, function and vertical tags, and both required trust fields — data handling summary and SME experience evidence.

02

Our team reviews the two required fields

We check that each answer is specific and substantiated, not boilerplate. Vague or incomplete submissions are sent back with what's missing.

03

Verification badge is issued

Once both fields clear review, the listing goes live with a Verified badge — visible on every listing card and the full listing page.

04

Status stays visible, not just at launch

Claim status, badge status, and how the listing was sourced all stay shown on the live page — so what you're looking at is never a mystery.

After The Badge

Vetting is the floor, not the whole picture.

The gate tells you a listing is safe to consider. What happens after that is up to the businesses that actually work with them.

Reviews from other business owners

Verified listings can collect reviews and ratings directly from SMEs who've worked with them — a second, ongoing layer on top of the one-time vetting gate.

Claimed vs. unclaimed, always labeled

A listing can be vetted before the vendor has claimed it. Claim status is always shown, so you know whether you're looking at a vendor-managed page or one we've compiled.
